Home Visits

Home visits are at the discretion of the Doctors and are based on clinical need.  Home visits should only be requested if the patient is too ill or too infirm to attend and for no other reason.  (We can see between 4-6 patients at the Surgery for every 1 home visit).

If a home visit is required, please make the request before 10.30 am as this allows the Doctors to organise the day and keep to schedules and appointments.  After 10.30 am it will be considered an emergency consultation.

The Receptionists take the requests for home visits and are instructed to obtain as much information as possible so that home visits can be prioritised.  You may well be telephoned by the Doctor to assess the condition.
